Known as one of the Sangrila a land locked country. Bhutan is a Buddhist country on the Himalayas’ east of Nepal. It is a land of amazing culture, monasteries, fortresses (or dzongs) and unbelievable landscape ranging from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. The highest mountain is Jomolhari, which rises to 7,326m from sea level. Bhutan is one of the best places for cultural exploration and tough adventure trips. The most famous Taktsang Palphug (Tiger’s Nest) monastery, a sacred site, clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley.

Bhutan is linguistically rich with over nineteen dialects spoken in the country. The richness of the linguistic diversity can be attributed to the geographical location of the country with its high mountain passes and deep valleys. These geographical features forced the inhabitants of the country to live in isolation but also contributed to their survival.

Though Bhutan is one of the smallest country it is also rich in cultural diversity and this richness is further enhanced by the wide variety of elaborate and colorful religious festivals that are celebrated throughout the country. Every village is known for their unique festival though the most widely known is the annual Tshechu, meaning a religious festival. Festivals like Lhuntse Tshechu and Punakha Tshechu and Paro Tshechu are just to name some of them.

Bhutan is truly an unbelivabe destination place for people who love to explore the nature, know the different culture.
