Everest Region Short Trek

Everest is one of the natural wonders that have brought many travellers from around the world. It’s massive height, the history it has and the surrounding beauty makes this place listed every year in people’s choice to see. Not only natural this place also has cultural history and the people who live in here. The famous mountain climbers who were not known to anyone for few decades’ are now known as one of the best climbers in the Himalayas. This trek takes you to Everest view point just in few days and not only Everest; you will also encounter other high mountains above 8000meters and be at the center of these mountains. Sherpa people their culture and the unchanged place they had been living for last 600 years. Important Notice:       

Due to bad weather during winter (January /February, winter and July/August monsoon  season, the flights can be cancelled or delayed for few days so we advise you to have few days extra if you are planning for mentioned season, but we still advise you to have extra  days for other seasons too, as the weather in here keeps on changing.

Namaste and Shuvayatra

  • Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu: Our representative will be in airport to receive you and after you get to hotel our tour and trek operator will give you information's regarding your activity during your stay in Nepal.Hotel
  • Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu: Pashupati Temple, BouddhanathStupa, Patan Durbar Square and Swyambhunath(Monkey Temple). Hotel Kathmandu city known as the city of temples, the sightseeing will be an introduction of Nepali culture, architecture, Stone and wood carving. You will see some of the largest Stupas of Nepal, Hindu temple where you will see people being criminated by burning, Patan the malla dynasties palace and beautifully crafted buildings.
  • Day 03: Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m) to Phakding (2630m) 40 minutes flight 4 hours, 100m uphill,380m downhill, Lodge. One of the most interesting flights will take you to Lukla airport. Lukla is a small town which is the main trading place for the people of khumbu Valley. From here we trek by the Sherpa villages down to Phakading.
  • Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m), 5-6 hours, 900m uphill, 100m downhill, Lodge. After a refreshing morning in Phakading we trek gradual uphill to Monjo. After some rest in Jhorsale next to Dudh Kosi we trek steep uphill to Namche( Gateway to Everest). View of Everest, Thamesherku, Kongde.
  • Day 05: Namche Bazaar (Acclimatization day) to Khumjung Village, 4-5 hours, 430m uphill, 430m downhill, Lodge. An acclimatization day is required in Namche so we will hike up to Everest View Hotel and then to Khumjung village (largest settlement of Sherpa in Khumbu Valley) which has a yeti Skull in the Monastery and First school built by sir Ed Hillary, then back to Namche.
  • Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3830m), 5-6 hours 620m uphill, 230m downhill, Lodge : From Namche we hike up then gradual up and down to Sansa then descend to Phungi Thanga. The trail ascends steep uphill to Tangbouche which is famous for the Monastery and the Everest view. Visit the Tangbouche monastery at 3: 30 pm.
  • Day 07: Tangbouche to Phortse[3830m] 5 hours, 200m uphill, 70m downhill, Lodge. The trail descends to Debouche and goes flat up to the bridge and after reaching Pangbouche turn west to go to Phortse. Phortse situated on the middle of two rivers gives the view of Kongde, Thamesherku, and Khumjung village.
  • Day 08: Phortse to Monjo (2808m), 5-6 hours, 320m uphill, 670m downhill, Lodge. The trek starts with descend then uphill to Mong said to the birth place of Lama Sang Dorje the introducer of Buddhism in Khumbu region. The trail descend to Kenjoma and then to Namche with some uphill and down and then steep down to Monjo.
  • Day 09: Monjo to lukla(2840m), 6 hours, 480m uphill, 270m downhill, Lodge. Leaving the Sagarmatha National park behind we trek pass Bankar, Phakading and Ghat through pine forests and climb up to lukla as the last part of the trek. Enjoy the evening
  • Day 10: Lukla to Kathmandu: 40 minutes flight. Complimentary massage
  • Day 11: Departure day. A day to say goodbye and to take happy memories back home
